2021年7月，为更好地实施创新驱动发展战略，河南省委、省政府提出重建重振河南省科学院。河南省科学院化学研究所为新组建的集科学研究、技术开发、成果转化、技术服务、人才培养和学术交流于一体的公益性科研事业单位。

河南省科学院化学研究所秉持“面向世界科技前沿、面向经济主战场、面向国家重大需求、面向人民生命健康”的科技创新理念，实行以首席科学家为核心的科技创新组织管理制度，现已引进5位首席科学家，研究方向涵盖生物医药化学、高分子物理与化学、材料腐蚀与控制、环境安全与灾害应急等。

In order to better implement the strategy of innovation-driven development, Henan Provincial Government decided to rebuilt and revitalize Henan Academy of Sciences in July 2021.  Institute of Chemistry of Henan Academy of Sciences （ICHAS) is a newly founded public welfare institution aiming at chemistry research, chemical technology development，technical transformation and service, talent cultivation and academic exchange.

To “target the global science frontiers, serve the main economic battlefield, strive to fulfill the significant needs of the country and benefit people's lives and health”, ICHAS administers an organization system of “principal investigator as core“ for scientific research. So far, 5 principal investigators have jointed the Institute. Their research areas include biomedical chemistry, polymer physics and chemistry, material corrosion and protection, environmental safety and disaster emergency response.

ICHAS encourages collaborative innovation with research institutes, universities, enterprises and etc. in domestic and overseas. Academic exchange and cooperative research are warmly welcomed!
